Get the children involved in making these mini edible Christmas trees.
Preparation time: about 30 minutes per tree
• sugar cones
• thin cardboard (if the cones can’t stand by themselves)
• melted white chocolate
• pastry brush
• hairdryer
• selection of red and white sweets, halved if necessary
1 Fold the piece of cardboard to fit inside the cone and cut it so that the cone can stand upright. Secure the cardboard cone in place with tape.
2 Brush the cone liberally with melted chocolate. Starting from the bottom, stick the sweets to the chocolate. Use the hairdryer to blow hot air on to the chocolate if it starts to set before you get all the sweets stuck on.
