Besides your daily maintenance routine for your feet, these special weekly treatments could benefit your soles too:
Relaxing Foot Soak
Once a week, after buffing your heels, spoil your feet with a relaxing soak that will soften skin and relieve achy muscles. Add a fragrant essential oil to soothe skin. Peppermint, cypress, lavender, pine and tea tree oils are all good choices. Add a couple of tablespoons of powdered milk to make feet really soft and slough off dry skin – the lactic acid does the job.
Give Your Feet A Peel
Apply a peeling treatment with glycolic acid once every one to two weeks. This will soften even thick calluses and remove rough skin. Apply after showering and bathing and slip on a pair of socks before going to bed.
Vary The Height Of Your Shoe Heels
This will keep your calf muscles flexible. If walking is painful or you spend a lot of time on your feet, use padded insoles to cushion the balls of your feet.
