You Will Need

• fabric and felt remnants
• matching coloured sewing thread
• buttons
• pins
• cardboard
• glue
• scissors
• pencil

To Make

1 First make a cardboard template. Draw around your finger, adding 1-2cm to the measurement, of which 0.5cm will be for the seams. Cut out the cardboard.

2 Fold a piece of fabric double, with the right sides together. Trace the template onto the fabric and cut out. Fold in the bottom edges of the two pieces and stitch in place. Place the pieces together again with right sides facing and pin together.

3 Cut out the ears and arms from felt. Place the felt sections between the two layers of fabric with the bottom edges aligned. Stitch a 0.5cm seam around the body. Make sure you catch all the pieces in the seam.

4 Pull the right side through from the lower edge and finish with a fabric circle for the face and buttons for the eyes and snout.

Good Idea
You can also make an owl, elephant, bear or rabbit by adjusting the features of the face.
