If you never have enough storage space for your shoes, you will love this attractive way to store a few more pairs!

You will need

• cardboard tubes (available at the post office)
• different types of matching giftwrap
• matching wide ribbon
• double-sided tape
• joiner’s glue
• craft knife, cutting mat and metal ruler
• scissors
• hand saw

 

To make
1 Start by sawing the cardboard tubes to the required length using a hand saw. Using a saw will result in the cleanest lines.

2 Use your craft knife, cutting mat and ruler to cut pieces of giftwrap that fit exactly around the cardboard tubes. Stick the giftwrap to the tubes using double-sided tape and then cut the edges off neatly with your craft knife.

3 Once all the cardboard tubes are covered, stick them together using a little joiner’s glue. Leave the glue to dry completely before threading the ribbon through the ends of the top tube and tying the two ends to a door knob, clothing rail, or even against the wall (the shoe holder is pretty enough!).
