This winter dessert is all about warmth and comfort, so pull up a chair next to the fireplace, relax and tuck in.

• Amarula liqueur
• whipped cream, to serve
1. Prepare the Milo according to the instructions on the tin. Add 15-30ml Amarula to each mug. Top with a little whipped cream. Serve with the chocolate shortbread.
Chocolate shortbread
Makes: 12 pieces
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Baking time: 45 minutes
Oven temperature: 170°C
• 130g (240ml) cake flour
• 20g (60ml) cocoa powder
• 25g (45ml) cornflour
• 50g (60ml) castor sugar
• 100g (110ml) butter
1. Mix the dry ingredients together. Rub in the butter with your fingertips until the mixture forms a dough. Knead well.
2. Press into a greased loaf tin. Prick all over with a fork. Bake in a preheated oven for 45 minutes until firm. Sprinkle with extra castor sugar and cut into slices. Cool on a wire rack.
