Fancy a lift in an uberCHOPPER? That’s no pickup line! It’s Uber celebrating its one-year anniversary since introducing its on-demand cab service, which provides easy and affordable transport across the world.
Uber has partnered with Cape Town Helicopters to bring us uberCHOPPER, a helicopter service that will pick you up and give you a highflying tour of the Mother City.
How Does It Work?
Download the Uber app on your smartphone. Log in and choose the uberCHOPPER option, and select a pickup point where you’ll be collected in one of the Uber vehicles and transported to the helipad based at the V&A Waterfront.
On route to the helipad, Cape Town Helicopters will contact you and inform you of the rides on offer. Upon arrival your chopper awaits and your chosen ride will be charged directly to your Uber account.
Your booking only confirms your seat on the flight. Each ride takes a maximum of three passengers per chopper with a minimum of two per trip. You can decide with whom you want to share the ride. Make it a ride to remember.
Where To?
There are three prescribed routes.
1 Two Oceans
A scenic flight along the Atlantic Coast, over False Bay passing Fish Hoek and Muizenberg.
R1 800 per person
2 Full Peninsula
