News24 has launched the most helpful load shedding map yet: Grid Watch!
The website has created one central load shedding database for the entire country and made it totally user-friendly. You can personalise the site to display a list of areas that you need to be informed about during load shedding. For example, your work and gym, your children’s school and, of course, your own home. This way, you’ll be better prepared and can plan your days around load shedding instead of having it disrupt your flow.
The site also informs you whether or not load shedding is currently taking place and what stage it’s at. If your zone is currently experiencing load shedding, it gives you a count down of how long your area should be out for. Plus, Eskom has agreed to send an updated schedule each week to hopefully reduce inconsistencies.
There’s also a Feedback section to report unscheduled outages or missing areas.
The best news? It’s mobile-friendly so find out what’s going on even if the lights are off.
So, be sure to get ahead and personalise your areas today by adding your locations on loadshedding.news24.com.
