To give a little can make the biggest difference in someone else’s life. Ho ho ho, it’s the Santa Shoebox Project.
This year it’s made shopping easier by having a pop-up shop created by Good Hope FM at Canal Walk Shopping Centre Court called, The Little Elves’ pop-up shop, and it’s made entirely from cardboard.
This life sized shoe box ‘shop’ will stock everything you need to fill your shoebox, for both boys and girls, aged three to seven, in one space!
It stocks all the essentials, such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap and washcloths, toys, sweets, clothing and educational items, all supported by Pick n Pay, which is the dedicated retail partner for the concept.
Visitors to the store will be able to register for the Santa Shoebox campaign or if they have already then this is the perfect place to fill boxes and buy items they haven’t yet purchased.
The space will be open daily until the 26 October, from 10am to 7pm. All the filled shoeboxes will be handed over to the Santa Shoebox Project at the CTICC on the 31 October.
Meegan Kieffer, Marketing Manager, Good Hope FM, says: ‘Getting behind the Santa Shoebox Project, to bring its hugely impactful initiative to life, is a wonderful opportunity for us to help make a real impact within our community, we encourage our listeners to please come and visit the shop and get involved!’
Good Hope FM will also be broadcasting live from the pop-up shop every Friday to Sunday. So go on air and challenge your friends to do their part.
