How exciting? At last Victoria Beckham has opened her first store – in legendary London fashion district, Dover Street.
Forget her Posh Spice heyday, Victoria Beckham’s first standalone retail space moves away from all things bling and rather – just like her design aesthetic – the space takes a far more minimalist approach. The vibe of the store is calm, there are no flashy window displays and all the merchandise is arranged neatly in organised rows. Victoria explains the design: ‘I’m not about making a big song and dance of things. You kind of have to come inside and experience it all for yourself.’
Ha! We wish!
Interestingly enough, Victoria didn’t choose a famous retail designer to work on the space but rather chose famous Iranian architect Farshid Moussavi, who is better known for building museums than fashion spaces. This gallery-like style is clearly visible in the new store.
