Not all plants root equally easily when pressed into a sandy soil mixture, but many groundcovers are stalwarts in this respect. So grow your own Plectranthus, Glechoma, fuchsia, Sutera, Selaginella and Diascia. Stick to these easier plants until you’ve refined your technique before tackling other varieties.
