You Will Need

• basket
• matt blue enamel paint (we used Plascon Saphire (B7-A1-1))
• matt dark brown enamel paint (we used Plascon AfricanMud (O2-E1-1))
• paintbrush
• black plastic bag
• gravel
• potting soil
• herb plants
• scissors
• dried moss

To Make
1 Apply a coat of matt blue enamel paint to the entire basket and leave to dry.
2 Apply a coat of matt dark brown paint over the blue paint, allowing the blue to show through in places. Leave to dry.
3 Cut a black plastic bag to fit the basket so it covers the base and the sides.
4 Punch drainage holes into the plastic and place a layer of gravel in the base.
5 Fill with potting soil and plant the herbs. Firm down the soil and water the plants.
6 Cut off any excess plastic that is visible, and cover the soil with dried moss to complete the picture.
