Photo door

Transform a standard hollow door into the door of your dreams by covering it with a photo. We bought a high-resolution photo on the internet and printed it out in large format onto firm paper according to the measurements of our door. Add about 5mm right around when you print the paper – you can cut it precisely to fit the door afterwards. Unscrew the door and lay it down flat then stick on your picture with slightly thinned-down wood glue, or modge podge, or wallpaper paste. Stick down the picture section by section; paint glue all over the surface of the door as you stick and smooth it as you go. The paper might pull and stretch but should regain its shape when it dries. Seal it afterwards with two to three layers of modge podge, leave to dry and trim the edges neatly using a craft knife. Finish with a coat of varnish and screw the door back on.
