When in doubt, accessorise!

Headbands, jewelled clips and even fresh flowers can take any style up a notch with minimal energy expenditure. A headband is a great way to get back into accessories. Here’s a look to try at home:

• Tease the crown of your head to add volume.
• Then, smooth your hair back into a low chignon (if your hair is short, you can still tease it; just skip the bun).
• Next, slide on a wraparound headband, allowing a few tendrils to fall softly forward.
• Finally, set the hairstyle with a quick mist of hairspray.
