A place for everything … and everything in its place. Cut your get-ready time in half by keeping your make-up cleverly organised in Lucite make-up trays with partitions.
The way you apply your make-up should guide the way you arrange your products in these trays:
1 Always keep the products you apply first, such as moisturisers and foundations, near the front of the tray within easy reaching distance. Keep foundation bottles upright to prevent them from spilling over, and place bronzers and powders together, as these are usually applied one after the other. The bronzers and powders can also be slotted into upright spaces on the tray, to prevent them getting damaged and allow you to see them clearly.
2 Store fragrances and other luxury goodies near the back, as these are either not used every day or are applied last.
3 Keep make-up brushes and eye or lip pencils standing upright (bristles and tips at the top) to prevent them from getting damaged.
4 Lipsticks can be kept in nifty lipstick holders, which will keep them separated and organised. When you’re in a hurry you don’t want to confuse your hot-pink party lipstick with your neutral-beige work lippie.
5 Keep your evening-appropriate make-up together. Lip colours, mascara and pencils should also be grouped together, as when you’re in a hurry these will be the ones you reach for first.
6 Group your tools together and make sure you have a supply of fresh cotton buds and make-up sponges.
