    How To Have Fab Feet

Being barefoot can dry out the skin on your feet, roughen your heels and lead to cracked calluses

    18 January 2015

Keep your feet pretty with these easy tips for daily maintenance!

    DAILY MAINTENANCE
    Buff
Use a foot file on dry skin before you shower. (If skin has been softened by water, you may remove too much skin.) Concentrate on the heels and balls of the feet.

Scrub Away Dirt And Dead Skin Cells
Use a sugar or salt scrub in the shower to further smooth heels, remove dirt and dulling dead skin from all over your feet.

    Moisturise
After your shower, slather rich cream over your feet, focusing on the rough areas. Don’t forget your toes, nails and cuticles, which tend to get dry and hard when you are barefoot. Use a special foot cream that has been specially formulated to hydrate the drier, thicker skin of your feet and stop the heels from cracking.

    Sleep With Socks On
Wear cotton socks after applying cream. This will help skin absorb cream, especially if worn overnight. Result: baby-soft feet the next morning.

    Don’t Forget Sunscreen
Feet are perfectly angled to get the most of the sun’s damaging rays. Not protecting your feet from the sun will lead to dry, leathery skin in the long run and worst case, skin cancer. To minimise sun damage and avoid tan lines from sandal straps, apply a broad spectrum UVA/B sunscreen.
