Q. What in your opinion makes a woman beautiful?
A. Confidence! If you love yourself and are okay with who you are, you’re the most beautiful. It’s all about embracing you.
Q. What is your secret to ageing so beautifully?
A. It’s definitely a combination of good genes, good diet and exercise. It’s about accepting the stage you’re at in life when you’re actually at it. I live a very healthy lifestyle. I don’t smoke and only drink moderately. Don’t put substances such as drugs into your body as it tends to aid the ageing process.
Q. Number one beauty tip?
A: Keep it simple. Less is more.
Q. When it comes to statement makeup, do you prefer bold, red lips or a sexy, smokey eye?
A: Smokey eye for sure! I prefer dressing up my eyes to my lips.
Q. What are your top three products in your make-up bag right now?
A: I love the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm – it’s something that I wear religiously! It moisturises your lips as soon as you apply it.
Revlon’s Growlucious Lash Potion Mascara is also fabulous as it lengthens your lashes. Usually when you remove your mascara, some of your lashes come out, but this never happens with Lash Potion.
I’m also never without Revlon’s Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink Pout. You’ll find it in my car, handbag and even on my kitchen sink.
Q. When do you think young girls should start wearing make-up?
A: I think it’s an individual choice. It’s a decision you need to make with your parents and family.
Q. Who is your beauty icon?
A:I don’t really have one. I admire all women who are bold enough to be themselves. I respect the diversity of all women, especially those who are original and create a unique style for themselves.
Q. What is the formula to balancing motherhood and a demanding career?
A: It’s realising that all of those things are necessary. It’s important that I’m a good mom and that I work. I also need to make time for myself to rest. If I can’t take care of me then I can’t take care of anybody else.
Q. You’re known for getting your gorgeous body back into shape post pregnancy very quickly. What is your secret to achieving this?
A. As I’m diabetic, I don’t eat sugar. It’s something that I take on very seriously. All I do is breastfeed and then go back to my normal routine. I don’t work out like a maniac. Hopefully that will happen again this time!
Q. What is your ultimate guilty pleasure when it comes to food?
A: It would have to be something fried. Either fried fish, fried chicken or fried potato chips. I love the saltiness.
