    Step by Step: Paper Rosette

Use pretty paper to fold a rosette

    October 15, 2014

    You will need

    • sheets of paper
    • thin jeweller’s wire
    • small pair of pliers
    • double-sided tape
    • craft knife and metal ruler
    • pencil

TIP To attach the rosettes to the wall, stick a small cardboard circle to the back of the rosette and stick to the wall using a piece of Prestik, or double-sided tape, or hot glue.

1 Measure 1cm spaces along the length of a sheet of paper.

2 Start to fold the paper into a concertina, using your measurements as a guide.

3 Fold the whole sheet in this way, following the marks. The secret of pretty rosettes is neat folds that are all the same size.

4 Fold another sheet in the same way and stick the two together using double-sided adhesive tape.

5 Cut off a piece of jeweller’s wire about 12cm in length.

6 Wrap the wire tightly around the middle of the concertina, tying the ends together at the back.

7 Stick a piece of double-sided tape to each side section.

8 Now stick the two sides to each other to form a circle.
