Instructions For Spray Painting

1 Wash the items with a mixture of lukewarm water and vinegar to remove oiliness. Lightly sand smooth surfaces, such as metal, and mask out areas, as necessary.

2 In a well-ventilated area, work on newspaper and spray the items with a couple of layers of grey undercoat until thoroughly coated. Leave to dry between coats.

3 Spray paint the items in the colours of your choice – you will need to spray on a few coats to achieve a solid colour. Leave the paint to dry between coats.

Dog spray painted with Sprayon Quick Drying Lacquer Spray in Seaspray Green and alarm clock in Turquoise. Radio spray painted with Rust-Oleum Gloss Protective Enamel in Glacier Blue and camera with Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch Ultra Cover Gloss in Key Lime.
