    Handbag Invitations

A cute party idea for all the girls who enjoy a high tea

    29 January 2015

    You Will Need

    • A3 140gsm scrapbooking cardboard
    • A4 90gsm light-coloured paper of your choice
    • A3 white paper
    • template
    • pencil and eraser
    • craft knife and cutting mat
    • embellishments
    • craft glue
    • double-sided tape
    • self-adhesive Velcro dots

    To Make
1 Enlarge the template so that it fits onto an A3 sheet of white paper.

2 Cut out and trace onto the scrapbooking cardboard with a pencil.

3 Cut out and then carefully cut a slit for the flap, as indicated on the template. Erase any visible pencil lines.

4 Type your invitation in a Word document to fit into a half-moon shape (the same size as the flap of your handbag). Remember the flap will be folded over the top of the bag, so start the invitation at the straight edge.

5 Copy the invitation onto the light-coloured paper in a half-moon shape and cut out. Stick it to the flap of the bag with craft glue.

6 Fold the handbag according to the lines on the template and then secure with craft glue. Stick self-adhesive Velcro dots to the inside of the flap and onto the front of the handbag so that they correspond.

7 Use a little craft glue to stick an embellishment to the invitation on your handbag flap. You can decorate the handbag further, if you prefer.
