You Need

• plastic beads (we used chunky ones)
• 20 x 150cm soft fabric
• matching machine thread
• embroidery scissors
• large safety pin

To Make
1 Cut the fabric into two strips of 10cm then stitch them together to form a 3m strip.

2 Fold the strip in half with the right side to the inside and press. Leave enough room for your beads plus an extra 2mm and stitch the seam closed to form a tube shape. Finish off with your overlocking machine.

3 Turn the tube through to the right side by attaching a large safety pin to one side and then threading it through the tube to the other side.

4 Now make a knot in the middle of the tube. Insert a bead into one side of the tube and tie a knot. Insert another bead and repeat the process until you reach the end. Do the same on the other side.

5 Tie the two ends together when the whole tube is filled with beads. Trim the ends to neaten and hand sew them together to secure.
