Step By Step: Crochet Snowflake

Crochet snowflakes and use them as décor in your home or for decorating special gifts

You Will Need

no 8 crochet yarn
1.5mm crochet hook
5cm-diameter hoop

Abbreviations
ch        chain stitch
dc        double crochet
rep      repeat

To Crochet
1 Begin with a 5 ch ring.

2 Work (8 ch, 1 dc) 6 times in ring.

3 In first 8 ch loop, work as follows: *2 dc, 3 ch picot, 1 dc, then 3 consecutive picots, 1 dc, 1 picot, 2 dc* in same loop (1 point completed), rep from * to * into next 5 loops. Cast off and darn in loose yarn ends.

4 To attach to hoop, work 11 dc around hoop and join snowflake on each point at 3rd picot, which is the 12th dc. Rep until snowflake is joined on 6 points. Cut off yarn and darn in loose yarn ends.
