Crochet hanger

Here’s a plastic hanger with a difference. Hang it onto a knobbly branch that’s been transformed into a hat rack!

You will need

• 50g Elle Cotton On (chunky)
• 50g very thin twine (or pure cotton 4-ply yarn in cream)
• 6mm crochet hook
• plastic hanger
• sewing scissors
• tapestry needle

Abbreviations
ch        chain stitch
dc        double
rep      repeat
sl st     slip stitch

 

To crochet
Using 6mm crochet hook, Elle Cotton On and working in dc, crochet over hanger frame until it is covered, join with sl st into 1st dc worked. Fasten off.

Edging
Join thin twine to dc at bottom lefthand side of hanger and for the flowers work [10 ch, *sl st into 5th ch from hook, 5 ch*, rep from * to * twice more, 5 ch, miss 5 dc on hanger, sl st into next dc], rep from [to] up to bottom righthand side of hanger, fasten off.
Darn in all the loose ends of yarn.
