The Hout Bay Manor was built in 1871, in the traditional Cape Colonial style by Jacob Trautmann, a German settler in the area. It was originally known as the Royal Hotel, a popular romantic location for honeymooners.
In 2007, the manor re-opened after an extensive 18-month renovation. The hotel now boasts a vibrant colonial interior, infusing South African cultural décor. Think vibrant colours and rich textures.
