The options of what to do on Heritage Day are endless! Here’s one you should definitely consider.
If you aren’t all that excited at the prospect of another braai, you could take a slow, easy drive to the De Hoek Country Hotel in the Magaliesberg mountain area. De Hoek is the perfect spot for a quiet solo holiday, but it’s also great for a day away with friends and family!
This Heritage Day, Chaine des Rotisseurs chef and co-owner, Michael Holenstein has created a fantastic menu for its Heritage Day High Tea, celebrating rainbow nation diversity with delicate phyllo baskets filled with marinated beef and garlic mayo, pink prawns in sesame vinaigrette, slow cooked duck sandwiches with sweet plum jelly, custard tarts, Italian meringue scones and many more delicacies to please all palates.
