There is nothing quite like bungee jumping – free falling off a ledge with nothing but a rope around your feet for security!
It’s an activity on many peoples’ bucket list, but if you’re an adrenaline junkie, you’ll want to do this one more than once. Why not make the most of it – and travel the country while you’re at it?
Here are the spots we think should be on your list:
Face Adrenaline’s Bloukrans Bridge Bungee (Garden Route)
The highest bridge bungee in the world is the best way to start out a jumper’s tour! Thrill seeking travellers come in from around the world to experience this 216 metre jump. Beginners beware – two out of every 10 people chicken out at the last minute, and if you don’t jump you don’t get your money back. Just do it. Book here.
Orlando Towers’ bungee (Soweto)
This is another trip that would be well worth it – the bungee jump is only one of Orlando Towers’ eight different adventures. Travel with a group – it will be more fun and you will get group discount. Try out the abseiling, paintball, rap jumping, power swing, and the new SCAD free fall. Make your booking here.
Bungee Mogale (Krugersdorp)
This one’s a jump off of the Kings Kloof Bridge in Krugersdorp, Mogale City. If you’re still feeling brave after the jump, try the bridge swing and the zipline/foofyslide , should be a cakewalk after the jump. Make your booking .
Moses Mabhida Big Rush (Durban)
This one is technically a swing, but it’s worth a mention for its fun factor. It is also officially the tallest swing in the world! Head to Durban to try it out, and remember to get there early and hang out in the cafe for a bit so you know what you’ll be in for: the jumps are live-streamed to the cafe! Book your swing here.
