The weather is finally warming up, and there is so much fun to be had outside, especially at the coast. As we approach the end of the year there will be more music, food and art festivals inviting us to get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine – but next month, we’re in for one of nature’s best shows.
The 23rd annual Whale Festival of Hermanus will be in October this year, and the wildly popular event – that now attracts more than 100 000 people – is sure to be as fun as ever. As the only enviro-art festival in South Africa, the event invites everyone to four days of entertainment, while shining a spotlight on ecological conservation efforts as well as on these magnificent creatures of the deep.
Expect a flower show (hosted by the Walker Bay Orchid Society), a classic car show, live performances (including Mark Haze, Good Luck, and Jeremy Olivier), great food, fun rides and lots of shopping!
