Japanese movies and television shows have long left the rest of the world completely bewildered. Watching them is like stepping into another world, where Samurais fight for honour on a daily basis. If you love ninjas, geishas, animes and samurais, you will love the TOEI Kyoto Studio Park.
Like Walt Disney studios or Universal studios, this theme park is built around a working studio, where you can watch the on goings of Japanese period films, more than 200 are shot every year.
In place of the wild rides you might find at other parks, the Kyoto studio park offers die-hard fans acrobatic ninja shows, a ninja mystery house (complete with revolving doors and secret passages for you to figure out), a haunted house, a 3D 360 theatre, traditional costume rental and photos, and even an anime museum! Make sure to check out the Super Sentai exhibit – they’re the characters that the power rangers were based on.
