    Stewed Quinces With Honey And Lemon

    These would go great with fresh cream or vanilla ice cream!

    Serves 4
    Preparation Time 2½ hours

    • 125ml honey
    • 60ml lemon juice
    • 500ml water
    • 4 quinces, peeled, halved
    • creamed honey and natural yoghurt to serve

    1 Place all the ingredients in a large saucepan and add some of the quince skin. Bring to the boil then simmer for about 2 hours or until the quinces are soft and the liquid is ruby red in colour and starting to thicken.
    2 To Serve Mix creamed honey with natural yoghurt and serve with the stewed quinces.
