Preparation Time 15 minutes
Baking Time 45 to 55 minutes
Oven Temperature 180°C
1 Sift the flour, baking powder and 5ml salt together. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Add a little more milk, if necessary.
2 Spoon into a greased loaf tin and bake in a preheated oven for 45 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack and serve the sliced bread with a selection of different pâtés, cheeses and fruit.
