At the age of 17 Jenna Lowe was diagnosed with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, a rare, life threatening lung disease that leaves you extremely breathless and in constant need of oxygen.
Since her diagnosis in 2012, Jenna’s health has deteriorated and she is now permanently hooked up to her oxygen machine, bed ridden but still hopeful. A double lung transplant is her only chance.
Over the years, Jenna and her family have taken steps to create awareness about her disease, organ donation and other rare diseases in South Africa through The Jenna Lowe Trust.
Despite all her trials and tribulations, Jenna has achieved numerous academic awards during her school career. She was Deputy Head Girl and recently matriculated with seven distinctions, all whilst fighting her life threatening condition.
A group of doctors from around the world have taken a keen interest in her situation but as we know good medical care is very costly.
Jenna’s younger sister, Kristi Lowe, has a beautiful voice and is using that as a tool to help her sister. Together with local band Good Luck, they wrote and produced a single called ‘I Need More Time’.
Download from the iTunes store or SMS TIME to 3 33 33 (call if you have any problems) to support The Jenna Lowe Trust. Every time you share or download the song a portion goes to Jenna’s medical costs.
