The film that took 12 years to make, Boyhood, seemingly stole the show at the 72nd annual Golden Globe awards in Beverly Hills, California.
Boyhood bagged three awards, one of which was Best Motion Picture – Drama. Director Richard Linklater also walked away with Best Director award, while co-star Patricia Arquette grabbed the Best Supporting Actress.
Guess it’s safe to say the long-awaited film was well worth the wait.
A few other surprise winners at the gala event included Showtime’s The Affair for Best Drama Series. In addition The Affair’s Ruth Wilson was named best actress in the US TV drama series.
