Getting Started
1 Cut the back panel 50 x 50cm.
2 Cut two pockets 40 x 35cm.
3 Sew the top edge of the back panel and pockets with cotton tape.
4 Fold pocket sides into a pleat for extra volume and pin it to the back panel.
5 Sew the sides onto the back panel.
6 Finish the bottom edge and sides of the back panel with dustsheets strips for a neat finish (cut three strips 50 x 4cm).
7 Insert the eyelets (about R4 each) or take the bag to a haberdashery to have the eyelets professionally inserted.
NOTE The most important element of a vertical structure is to keep it as light as possible. A square metre of vertical garden should not be heavier than 30kg. Do not overfill the bag when planting and give the plants plenty of room to fill the space and grow. This way they will get used to the structure and grow into a comfortable position.
