Get the look of a reader's exuberant little garden
15 December 2014
Sue Rymer has a garden that’s Packing A Punch! Here are a few of Sue’s tips and how to get the look:
Decide how much time you have to devote to your garden and then plan accordingly.
Small gardens can be deceptively labour-intensive, so be prepared to constantly maintain.
It helps to prune shrubs into standards to allow more space for underplanting.
Use feeding and organic sprays; they’re good for the garden. I throw in masses of mushroom compost throughout the year. I have no room for a compost heap but I do have a wormery and I’m rewarded with litres of worm ‘tea’ which I first feed the pots with before chucking leftovers around the shrubs.
