Plant begonias for a long-lasting show of colour that will brighten even the shadiest of corners

They vary in size and can be planted in flowerbeds, or in pots and hanging baskets.

• Plant in average to moderately fertile, well-draining soil.
• Once established, they can tolerate mild drought due to the reserves in their thick, fleshy stems and leaves.
• In the hot summer months it’s important to mulch around the plants to keep the roots cool and reduce evaporation.
