Give your garden a burst of colour with these blooms
October 23, 2014
Design tips
Plants with bright foliage and warm colours have to be used carefully. Grow large patches of one type to create informal splashes of colour – and keep complementary colours together.
Use neutral colours, such as white and grey, to offset warmer colours.
Use a broad strip of one colour to lead the eye to a focal point.
Bright colour has a greater impact when used in shady spots.
Repeat accent colours found in your living room on the verandah and in the garden.
