Forget The Tattoo – Go Temporary

Why make your fashion statement permanent when you can do this, in 2015?

Forget daisy crowns and denim cut-offs, the trend that you should be taking from the music festivals and into 2015 is jewellery-inspired temporary tattoos. They’ve been spotted on festi-fashionistas, like Vanessa Hudgens and Allesandra Ambrosio; on the red carpet thanks to Beyonce and Sarah Jessica Parker and on the catwalk, thanks to Tommy Hilfiger and Dries Van Noten.

Dries Van Noten took the trend to its edgiest extreme with temporary gold lip rings. Makeup artist told Vogue.com the gold line down each model’s lower lip ‘could be a piercing… it could even look like the shine from a lipgloss. Dries was thinking of the kind of girl who goes to Burning Man. She’s not a hippie, but she loves nature – and she’s also a bit high-tech.’

We say, do as Beyonce did – and take your 2015 holiday wardrobe up a notch with golden designs from local labels, like Tessa Designs at YDE and Boho Mark at 011.
