Bronze, sun-kissed skin can make anyone look well rested, with a healthy glow – and a little bit thinner. If your summer glow is starting to wilt in the shadow of your office furniture then grab a bronzer to fake a healthy looking tan.
Go lighter than you think. We won’t judge your willingness to embrace the bronzer, but rather opt for a bronzer that is much lighter than you have in mind. Choose a shade that’s only one or two shades darker than your current colour.
Blend like your life depends on it! The whole idea is to make your glow look as natural as possible. Instead of sweeping it on, try buffing the powder on by swiftly making small circles with a fluffy powder brush and softening the edges. Liquid bronzers also work well and might be a bit easier to blend.
International make-up artist, Bobbi Brown, recommends smiling and applying bronzer to the apples of the cheeks and blending outward to the hairline.
Lastly tap a bit of highlighter right under your eye in the form of an upside down triangle and blend. A concealer one shade lighter than your skin colour will also works well, instead of a highlighter.
