Does your hair cause you to despair? Here's how to get to the root of the problem

You’ll never have to step out of the house with a bad-hair-day situation again! Here’s everything you need to know – and remember – about your precious mane:
Use products that suit your hair type. If you’re not sure what to use, ask your hairdresser for advice. It’ll save money and frustration in the long run.
Wash and condition your hair well – it will be easier to style and the style will hold for longer.
Wash and treat your hair the day before a special event. Hairdressers agree that hair is more manageable the day after it’s washed, especially if you’re taking it up.
Always rinse your hair well after conditioning. Unless the product has ‘Leave-in’ on the bottle, it should be rinsed out well. Your hair will look cleaner and stay manageable for longer.
The same goes for styling products. They’re for styling hair and not for treating your scalp.
Always rub styling products onto your hands before you apply them to your hair and use a tiny bit; you can always add more. Start the application from mid-length down, not from the point closest to your scalp.
If all else fails, wear a hat or slick your hair back into a low ponytail and twist into a bun. Then forget about it all day!
