You Will Need
To Make
1 Dip the drill bit, which is slightly smaller in width than your electrical cord, in some turpentine and then drill a hole in the bottom of each teacup. Make sure you set the drill to the slowest speed and don’t press too hard – you should let the drill bit do the work. Regularly dip the drill bit in turpentine to prevent it from overheating and cracking the porcelain. Repeat this process to drill a hole through each saucer.
2 Insert the blade of the hand saw through the hole in the cup and carefully enlarge and neaten the hole as necessary so that the electric cord will fit through. Repeat this process to enlarge the hole in the saucer.
3 Insert the electric cord and the light-bulb base through the holes in the cup and saucer and then screw in the light bulb.
