Learn to fold a paper butterfly

You will need

• pretty paper
• pencil
• ribbon or baker’s twine
• cardboard

 

 

 

 

 

 

1 Trace a square overlapped by a circle onto cardboard and cut out; this is your template. Trace the template onto pretty patterned paper and cut out.

2 Now pleat the whole shape.

3 Tie the shape in the middle with ribbon or baker’s twine; the ribbon ends form the antennae. Spread out the folds to form the wings.
