Flower Boxes

Fill these with pretty flowers or use them as gift boxes

You Will Need

• rose diagram
• masking tape
• embroidery needle
• unfolded white cardboard boxes
• light purple embroidery thread

To Make
1 Copy the rose diagram in the desired size.

2 Cut out the diagram and affix it lightly with masking tape to the front of the cardboard box.

3 Use your embroidery needle to make holes at each corner of the blocks where a cross-stitch must be worked. Remove the diagram.

4 Cut a length of embroidery thread of about 30cm and thread it through your needle. Follow the diagram and work the cross-stitch row by row from the centre of the box outwards. Complete the whole design, cutting more embroidery thread as needed. Thread the loose ends in at the back for a neat finish.

5 Fold the box and place a bunch of flowers in a small vase inside the box.
