You Need
To Make
1 Wash the plate and dry it.
Tip Remove the greasiness with a mixture of white vinegar and lukewarm water. Dry with kitchen paper.
2 Stick masking tape all around the inner edge of the plate and press it down firmly to make sure it sticks securely.
3 Paint a thin coat of primer on the inner section of the plate – we used Plascon Tile Primer in white – and leave to dry properly, preferably overnight.
4 Paint on a coat of blackboard paint (we used one by Plascon) and leave to dry. Paint on another coat of blackboard paint and leave to dry properly, preferably overnight.
5 Pull off the masking tape carefully. Use chalk to write the names of the cheeses on the plate. Keep the cheeses in their wrappings or place each one on top of a piece of wax or baking paper to serve.
