Buy a polystyrene or polyurethane ceiling rose, available at hardware stores, and paint it in a colour that complements your room. Use a water-based paint and apply a few thin coats to achieve a solid colour. The ceiling rose is lightweight and easy to attach to your ceiling with strong glue, such as No More Nails. Trap the stems of your peach blossom branches between the ceiling and the ceiling rose. Add other paper flowers too.
Peach blossom branches
You will need
1 Use your decorative punch to cut flower shapes out of the coloured paper.
2 Press the embossing tool down in the middle of each flower to make the petals curl. If you place the flower in the palm of your hand, the warmth will help make the paper more pliable.
3 Bend three lengths of florist’s wire in different directions to form branches.
4 Wind florist’s tape around the bottom section of all the ‘branches’ to hold them together. Continue winding tape around the wire to cover each of the top sections.
5 Use hot glue to attach the flowers to the stems. Attach as many as you prefer.
